Bay Tek’s latest round of games – Flappy Bird, Full Tilt and Hop Star – are beginning to make inroads into the international market, the company’s Adrian Drewitz said.

Speaking to InterGame during last week’s EAG International show, where the company was presenting its products on local distributor Harry Levy’s booth, Drewitz said that app-inspired Flappy Bird is “really catching on.”

“We’re starting to take hold and see great sales of the game building on the hype from the app,” he said.

HopStar, meanwhile, is an interactive, skill-based game, boasting a brightly-coloured cabinet and a durable, infrared hop pad. The object of the game is for players to hop as far as they can on a hopscotch course in a set amount of time.  Full Tilt sees players guide a ball from the very top down the playfield by using a wheel to rotate gear platforms to direct it as close as they can to the desired score.

Both, said Drewitz, are starting to make an impact in the international market.

The company’s Prize Hub redemption unit is also gaining “great momentum” in the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK, while one of the company’s biggest hits in recent years, Sink It, is still creating a buzz internationally.

“We have a lot of other projects in process and we’re looking forward to a very exciting 2015 with some fresh ideas and expanding our offerings into new markets,” Drewitz said. “We have a strong distributor network and we’re excited about our new offerings to support our great international distributors in many markets.”

Those distribution partners, he added, are very important to the company.
