Dutch MPs seek i-gaming tax hike

An amendment to the Netherlands’ much-anticipated Remote Gambling Bill seeks to increase the proposed rate of tax on online gambling operators.

As drafted, the bill had proposed a 20 per cent tax on gross gaming revenue for online operators.

However, a number of coalition MPs are now hoping to raise the rate to 29 per cent - the rate currently paid by land-based gambling operators.
