In 2014, revenues for racing and digital rose to £34.5m, up from £33.7m in 2013, while EBITDA was £8.1m, up from £7.3m.

Within Sportech’s digital business, revenues were unchanged year on year, at £3.7m. Profitability did improve, however, with EBITDA doubling to £1.2m from £0.6m in 2013.

Sportech continues to invest in its online business. Last month SNG Interactive, the company’s joint venture with NYX Gaming, launched its online gaming platform in the New Jersey market as a supplier to the Atlantic City-based Resorts Casino Hotel. Sportech has to date invested £0.9m in the set-up and operation of the joint venture.

Digital and online operations remain a comparatively small part of the Sportech business with the football pools and racing divisions helping the group to annual revenues of £104m for 2014, with profit (EBITDA) of £24m.
