SNG Interactive, the joint venture between Sportech and NYX Gaming, has entered the US i-gaming market with approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

The move follows a review of the online gaming platform SNG operates for the Atlantic City-based Resorts Casino Hotel and secures a transactional waiver for SNG for i-gaming operations in the state.

Ian Penrose, CEO of Sportech, said: "This is an important step in our strategy to evolve from being a world leader in pool betting to holding a leading position in the developing US and global gaming industry.

“We are now processing bets in the largest US state to have legalised online gaming to date. Our joint venture with NYX for real-money gaming and play-for-fun platforms will be made available to both our existing and new customers in the US and Canada as regulation permits."
