Social game developer Zynga has boosted its social casino offering by acquiring game studio Rising Tide.
Founded with a focus on developing free-to-play social games, Rising Tide has developed a number of offerings such as the Black Diamond Casino slot.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but Zynga has said that Rising Tide will help strengthen its commitment to social casino, a strategy that has been ongoing since the acquisition of Spooky Cool Labs in 2013.
Zynga also confirmed that as a result of the new acquisition, it expects to launch a number of new desktop and mobile slots titles later this year.
