The company has announced a major investment in its Zitro Interactive that distributes its games to online operators, renaming it Zitro Digital.

Founder Johnny Ortiz said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has acted as a catalyst for technological change, accelerating the adoption of e-commerce by consumers of all demographics. It follows that this has extended also to online gaming.

“At the same time, many land-based gaming operators around the world have discovered in online gaming not only a source of income, complementary to their activity, but also a means of maintaining relationships with their clients during the long and hard months that they have been closed.

“At Zitro we felt we had to meet this new demand from end users and our traditional clients in the land-based industry. The demand was there to offer online gaming to generate resources and stay close to customers.”

The newly-rebranded company will offer its well-respected video bingo games and its Link King, Link Me, 88Link and other video slots as online products.

Said CEO Sebastián Salat: “It has taken us some time to deploy our games at the casinos but they are now well recognised as having the power to drive demand. Beginning with January 2021, we will make these progressive games available to online casino operators.”

Zitro will also expand its offer to the social gaming sector. Up to now it has only operated two applications for social gaming, World of Bingo and Let’s Win Up.

Heading up social gaming is Enric Pedró. He said: “The unstoppable success of Zitro’s progressive games required an exclusive application in which all of them could meet. All of the games, including the Bashiba range, will be gradually added to this new application.”
