Jens Wingren is to step down from his role on the board of directors at Gaming Corps immediately, the company has announced.

Gaming Corps

Wingren, who it was announced in December of last year was to depart for an external CEO role, had been due to take up his new job at the start of April.

Following an “internal dialogue”, the Gaming Corps board has now “decided that it is better for the company that Jens leaves immediately to prepare a place for a new member.”

The loss of Wingren leaves the board of directors comprising of Claes Tellman, Daniel Redén and Bülent Balikci. Gaming Corps are aiming to now add “one or two” additional members.

The nomination committee already has a couple of candidates and will now actively begin the work of making a recommendation. Following that process, the board will decide whether it is sufficient to await the AGM or whether an extraordinary meeting is preferred.

Wingren said: “I am still in the starting blocks for my new role, but the recent period has shown that the time will not be enough for the active involvement required by the Gaming Corps board.

“I thank my colleagues on the board and management for this time and look forward to following the Gaming Corps’ development going forward.”

Claes Tellman, chairman, said: “I would like to extend my congratulations to Jens, who is now taking up his first CEO role and on behalf of the Company, thank him for his time on the Board.”
