It was announced this morning that major online fantasy sports and wagering company TopBetta Holdings has acquired DynamicOdds, a company providing free and premium betting related services to players, racing authorities and bookmakers.

The deal is for 100 per cent of the shares in the data and betting tools company that provides data feeds to the main outlets in the country.

Said Todd Buckingham, CEO at TopBetta: “DynamicOdds has developed a reputation as a respected provider of data and betting tools within the Australian racing industry and is a perfect fit for the TBH wholesale business model. We will now be able to continue to develop the technology that helps punters make bets and bookmakers take bets.”

Buckingham added that it meant that the company would be able to expand the business "into other verticals via partnerships with sporting and racing bodies globally."

DynamicOdds was formed in 2006 as a platform for both those who make bets and the industry professionals to analyse and monitor the betting markets for the Australian racing codes. In 2016, Racing Victoria commissioned DynamicOdds to provide an "official price" for Victorian racing and this was adopted by all other states by mid-2017.

At the same time, TBH released an update on its sale of the TopBetta and Mad Bookie B2C businesses to PlayUp Ltd., another fantasy sports and online sports betting company. TBH will gain A$6m and an earn-out of 20% of the revenue from both of the brands for 24 months.
