Fairfax Media has signed an advertising deal with Australian fantasy sports betting provider TopBetta as the operator seeks to more than triple its number of active users to more than 10,000.

TopBetta will promote its fantasy sports and racing tournaments across Fairfax’s network of of 3.4 million readers.
Todd Buckingham, CEO of TopBetta, said: “There is no point in doing another SuperCoach [season-long competition].
"This is a way of competing against that market. People haven’t got the time to do a competition for the whole season these days.”
The Fairfax Media-TopBetta competition will launch in March to coincide with the start of the NRL and AFL seasons.
