Sweden’s gambling minister Ardalan Shekerabi is said to be close to introducing new legislation to loosen i-gaming regulation.

Shekarabi aims to pass new gaming regulations before the country’s next general election in September 2018, with the process due to begin this autumn with an inquiry into changes to the law.
Gustaf Hoffstedt, secretary general of the Swedish Association of Online Gambling Operators, has said that Sweden may step up its efforts to liberalise its gaming laws because its current legislation is “disconnected from the realities and demands of the market.”
