The Swedish government will review how the part of state-owned Svenska Spel competing with private igaming companies is performing and could lead to a sale, as part of the latest draft law on gambling, Nordic Gambling reported.

The review will evaluate how the company is adapting to the new market. Private operators want the government to privatise Svenska Spel to keep the same body from regulating the market and operating within that market.
The ownership of horse race betting operator ATG also needs to be evaluated further.
