BetMakers said that the acquisition should go through on December 31 of this year with the new allotment of shares placed on January 4, 2021.

The acquisition of Sportech’s racing and digital assets will enable Betmakers to accelerate its international growth plans and strategically position itself to capitalise on the emerging opportunities in the US.

The Australian company’s acquisition of the UK operator means that Betmaker will have an immediate holding of assets in the US, UK and Europe.

The main target is the opening US market in sports betting, the Americas Tote and Digital products and similar outlets in the UK and Europe, as well as ownership of the Quantum Tote Technology, the tote betting engine that is used internationally.
