Swaziland online casino Piggs Peak has put in place measures to block access to its site from players within the South African borders.

The decision follows the outcome of last week’s appeal in which the online casino operator challenged an earlier ruling outlawing online gambling in South Africa.

The Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein upheld an earlier ruling following Judge Tuchten’s finding last year in the North Gauteng High Court that online gambling in South Africa was illegal.

According to Gaming for Africa, Piggs Peak’s Howard Berchowitz commented that they were disappointed with the outcome of the appeal but will abide by the ruling and put in place immediate measures to block online play from gamblers playing from South Africa.
