Betting exchange Smarkets is to significantly increase its engineering and operations teams in London and Malta.

The expansion plans seek to add 50 Python and Erlang engineers, as well as an additional 25 marketing and operations staff, to support growth plans in the UK and abroad.
Smarkets also intends to build a new headquarters building in central London.
The company will be offering new recruits a range of progressive employment choices including ability for staff to set their own salary.
