Sky Betting and Gaming has sent notice to its affiliate partners that the operator’s i-gaming affiliate program will cease to exist on October 2.
In the statement, SkyBet cited the changing regulatory landscape and “increased obligations regarding regulatory responsibility and level of compliance.”
It continued: “In order to continue to operate in a compliant manner we feel that operating the program is no longer viable and that managing the output of affiliates presents a serious risk to our business from a regulatory perspective.”
The operator went on to say that its Affiliate Hub portal would cease to be available from October 2 and that no commission would be paid from that date onwards.
