Total sports betting revenue across online and retail in Kentucky, US, climbed 64.6 per cent in November.

The The Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Corporation reported revenue of US$35.9m, up from $21.8m in November 2023.

That came from total handle of $301.7m, the first time the figure has gone above $300m in the Bluegrass State since it opened to regulated wagering in September last year.

Handle rose 7.3 per cent year-on-year from $281.2m and was a new record.

Elsewhere, total sports betting tax revenues were up 63.4 per cent to $5m, up from $3.1m in November 2023.

Of the total revenue, $35.2m came from online wagering while a further $638,742 came from retail betting.

As for handle, online wagering accounted for $290.7m of bets and the remaining $11m in bets were made in retail premises.
