Playtech, based in the Isle of Man, has revealed record revenues for the first six months of 2008, totalling US$81.4m - up 85 per cent from the previous year.

Casino revenues rose 78 per cent to $58m, while poker revenues increased from $10.5m to $22m for the period, up 109 per cent.

“We are very pleased with these results, which demonstrate Playtech’s continued progress as the world’s leading software provider to the online gaming market,” said Mor Weizer, CEO of Playtech.
