Play65.com recently announced that it has formed an advisory board to help eliminate bots - automated applications programmed to win at online games via various unfair methods - from its online backgammon gaming system.

According to a statement released by the company recently, the board “includes objective world-class professional backgammon players that are not part of Play65.com employees.”

As online gaming sites increase in popularity, the prevention of bots is becoming more and more necessary in order to safeguard players and the online gaming companies themselves.

Play65’s board will investigate any account that is suspected of bot usage and then provide a ruling on whether or not the account should be closed.
