Playtech has announced that non-executive director Ian Penrose is to succeed John Jackson as chair of is remuneration committee, effective from November 1.

The move follows a difficult period for the gaming giant, in which nearly 60 per cent of shareholders voted against the company’s remuneration report in August. Over a third opposed the re-election of John Jackson – no relation to chairman Alan Jackson – as chair of the remuneration committee.

Playtech expects to make a brief trading statement on Monday, November 12.
