As more countries are working towards legalising online gaming, there is talk that Ireland has a great opportunity to establish itself as a major hub of the online gaming sector.

It seems that the only thing preventing the country from joining other nations in benefiting from the global demand for egaming is the 1956 Gaming and Lotteries Act, which prevents online gaming businesses from setting up shop on the island.

It is reported that Ireland is currently considering a revamp of its regulatory infrastructure to attract a larger online casino base.
