The director of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, David Rebuck, has written to online gambling operators with licences in the state, telling them that they must stop doing business in Australia.

According to Fantini’s Gaming Report, the operators must show that they have taken measure to block Australians from gambling on their sites, failing to do so “may result in the DGE taking regulatory action against your company, including finding your company unsuitable for licensing in New Jersey,” said Rebuck.
A warning was issued in April, 2016, when Rebuck clarified the DGE stance in instances where laws are ambiguous or not enforced, including Australia.
“Operators must comply with Australia’s new laws and cease offering all prohibited services to customers in Australia.”
Operators had 15 days from September 19 to explain how they are stopping players from Australia.
