The investment is one of a series that BMIT will be announcing over the next 12 months in relation to the expansion of its data centre, cloud and internet connectivity capabilities.

The new facility will have a capacity of 146 racks serving customers across a wide range of industries including online gaming.

Dr Chris Cardona, Malta’s minister for the economy, investment and small business, said the investment was important not just for the company but also for the island’s business sector.

He added that such services allow the government to further entice other companies to invest in Malta, while providing existing companies with state of the art services.
