Total gaming revenue across land-based and online operators in Pennsylvania, US, rose 10.9 per cent in January to US$529.1m.

There was a stark contrast in igaming and sports betting revenue growth in the Keystone State.

Igaming revenue showed the most growth of any vertical at 40.5 per cent, in fact, rising from $149.6m in January 2024 to $210.2m in the latest reporting period.

Most of this revenue - $158.6m – came from online slots, with this segment showing 44.2 per cent growth year-on-year.

Online table game revenue rose 32.7 per cent but online poker revenue dropped 2.3 per cent.

However, there was a more acute drop in Pennsylvania’s sports wagering revenue in January, which fell 26.4 per cent year-on-year from $69.9m to $51.5m.

Sports betting handle rose 1.75 per cent from $858.2m to $873.1m.

Video gaming terminal revenue in Pennsylvania was $3.2m, up 4.5 per cent from $3.04m a year ago.

In the land-based sector, retail slots revenue jumped 4.6 per cent to $187.8m and retail table games revenue rose 1.5 per cent to $73.7m.
