Mike Kowall, senator for the US state of Michigan, is going again in his drive to see real-money online gaming legalised in the state.

Michigan i-gaming push

Earlier this year, a Kowall-backed bill, SB 0203, calling for the legalisation of online casino games and poker passed the Senate Regulatory Reform Committee before apparently disappearing without trace.

Reports in the US claim that Kowall - a long-time advocate of online gaming and the senate’s majority floor leader - is preparing a revised version of SB 0203 for tabling once the state legislature returns from its summer break.

Michigan, with its population of nearly 10 million, would become the most populous state yet to regulate real-money online gaming although Pennsylvania seems likely to beat it to the punch.
