Following recent gambling reforms, Lithuania’s gambling regulator, the Gaming Control Authority, has warned it will take “severe action” against unlicensed online operators.

The GCA now has extended powers to order internet service providers to block unlicensed operators and has reportedly drawn up a hit list of websites.

Under the new regime, online operators are required to be incorporated as a company in Lithuania, have share capital of at least €1.1m and must also partner with an existing land-based casino.
