The Dutch Gaming Authority Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has confronted an online casino operator whose software provided an option for autoplay, which is not permitted in the Netherlands.

Autoplay allows a player to continue betting automatically without any direct input, which breaches the countries regulations regarding responsible gambling.
The KSA investigated a report that the website’s online roulette table allowed continued play with the previous bet after winning, and concluded that this does indeed constitute autoplay.
A formal notice was given to the operator to immediately cease and desist, and to present the game for inspection before it is permitted to be put live again.
The KSA has sent a letter to all providers to remind them on the regulations around autoplay, as there is a chance others could be using the same software. It is, the KSA stresses, the provider's responsibility to check software supplied by third parties for possible prohibited offers or game functions.
