Two free-to-play games publishers, Jolt Online Gaming and playnik.com, announced a strategic partnership this week, which will see cross-publishing of their respective games in Europe and North America.
Based in Dublin, Ireland, Jolt is the publisher of Legends of Zork, Utopia Kingdoms and the forthcoming Playboy Manager. Headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, playnik.com publishes some of the fastest growing games in Germany including Desert Blitz, Mission Cobra and Castle Fight.
The two companies are among the start-ups in Europe and the US, specialising in free-to-play online games that can be played from any internet browser. Jolt (formerly OMAC Industries) has an extensive network of gamers primarily based in North America and the UK while playnik.com has a rapidly growing user-base in Germany and central Europe.
