Joseph Fellus of PricewaterhouseCoopers Israel has been appointed as chairman of the country’s sports betting board, the ISBB.

Fellus has been brought in by the country’s Government Companies Authority, a unit of the Ministry of Finance, following recommendations by the minister of sports and the minister of the treasury.
The appointment comes after the ISBB was singled out for criticism in a report on gambling market efficiency in Israel earlier this month.
Fellus is managing partner and member of the executive board of PwC Israel. He joined the company in 1979 and has since acquired extensive experience in advising companies on tax and business consulting in Israel, US and Europe.
