The US state of Indiana posted total sports betting handle of US$393.9m in April, with taxable gross revenue amounting to $37.1m.
The handle translated to a month-on-month decline from March’s $500.8m. Revenue also dropped after reaching $39.4m in March.
Sports betting activity in Indiana generated $3.5m in April, down from $3.7m in March.
Basketball was the most popular sport for wagers in April with bets of $121.5m as the NBA season continued, with parlay bets accounting for another $121.5m of the total handle.
