Canadian-based i3 Interactive announced yesterday that it is acquiring a majority in LivePools Private in India.

LivePools focuses on fantasy sports, rummy and the real money gaming space and was launched by Gaurav and Vickram Assomull in 2018, growing to over 1.5 million users with an aim to reach 10 million by 2022.
i3 is a well-known online and mobile gaming platform for sports betting and casino products. In the deal, i3 is taking 51 per cent of the shares in LivePools for an aggregate $7.5m and will acquire the remaining shares in four tranches for another $7.5m.
In a statement, i3 said: “The agreement represents our commitment to the online gaming market in India, which continues to exceed expectations as the fastest growing online gaming market in the world.”
