London’s Hippodrome Casino is to sponsor two poker players, under the banner of Team PokerStars Live at the Hippodrome.
Players Chris Gordon and Kelly Saxby will represent and promote the casino by playing in the Hippodrome’s extensive series of tournaments as well as external tours such as the UKIPT and GUKPT.
Kerryjane Craigie, head of poker at the Hippodrome, said: “Never before has an individual casino been represented by sponsored poker players.
“Chris and Kelly are the kind of players that we appeal to here at the Hippodrome. Anyone can come and play here; these guys did and now they are playing regularly and successfully.”
The UKIPT Series begins at the Hippodrome on January 29 .
