Genius Sports has launched sports wagering product BetVision to bring live streams together with integrated bet slips, statistical insights and real-time augmentation.

The product, which is going live with NFL games in the US, allows sportsbook customers to wager within the live video player in the sportsbook app.

The low-latency live game video streams offer integrated odds and bet slips, as well as in-game betting alerts and on-screen offers during breaks in game action.

NFL content is available on mobile and tablet devices and is aimed at further personalising the betting experience, Genius Sports said, through live augmentations already in use with other North American partners.

Caesars Sportsbook and Fanatics Sportsbook are the first recipients of the product, with each operator to stream nationally distributed and local, recognised live NFL games each week. Genius Sports said it plans to add additional functions and features throughout the season.

Mark Locke, CEO at Genius Sports, said BetVision brings together data tracking, video streaming, live data and sports betting to create a “game-changing product for sportsbooks” that he said is “leading a new era of immersive sports experiences.”

He added that as well as offering personalisation, BetVision gives sportsbooks “a new way to drive engagement and accelerate the growth of in-game betting.”

Brent Lawton, VP of business development and strategic investments at the NFL, said BetVision will allow the creation of “a differentiated way for fans to engage with NFL content.”
