GEMed, a subsidiary of lottery giant GTECH and Swedish investment group Medstroms, has offered SEK19 a share, for Swedish poker and casino software developer Boss Media, valuing the company at SEK1.08bn.

GEMed’s objective is to offer all the main internet gaming products to the regulated lottery and gaming market.

The company went on to say, it plans to make acquisitions that could complement and enhance the execution of its growth strategy.

Medstroms is one of the original founders of Boss Media and is the largest shareholder with a 12.5 per cent stake.

Boss Media has been approached by a number of parties interested in buying the company and the deadline for accepting GEMed’s offer is February 27.
