David Carruthers, former BetonSports chief executive, pleaded guilty to count one of the third superseding indictment in a court in St Louis, US, this week.

Carruthers agreed not to appeal provided that the sentence doesn’t exceed
33 months, which is under the terms of the agreement, as well as to not
engage in offshore gambling businesses during the time of supervised release or thereafter. Sentencing has been set for Friday, October 2.
