Flutter Entertainment gaming and betting brand FanDuel has revealed that almost half of its customers have used the My Spend responsible gambling tools during the NFL season.

In a press release ahead of Philadelphia Eagles’ victory over Kansas City Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl, the company said approximately 3.5 million people had tracked their time and spending on the platform.

FanDuel promoted its My Spend tools with an advertising campaign during the NFL play-offs across broadcast television, digital and paid social.

FanDuel has now introduced Deposit Alerts, which allow customers to create daily, weekly and monthly target budgets and receive a notification when their set amount is reached.

“Since the launch of My Spend, we've seen a meaningful rise in engagement with tools that give our customers the ability to create a personalised plan to manage their play," said Jill Watkins, senior commercial director of responsible gaming at FanDuel.

"We're encouraged by the progress and remain steadfast in our commitment to making responsible play a natural part of the FanDuel experience for all customers."

FanDuel said it will announce later this year new initiatives to use technology to enable early intervention on at-risk gaming behaviour.
