Exit Games has announced that its online multiplayer gaming platform Neutron now supports the Android mobile platform, enabling developers to add online social gaming features to their mobile games.

The German company said that by downloading the Neutron SDK, developers can add a variety of options to their mobile games, including real-time multiplayer functions, in-game text chat, leaderboards, matchmaking and microtransactions.

“Neutron has become the standard third-party platform for online and mobile game developers looking to integrate multiplayer and community features into their next title,” commented Christof Wegmann, chief technical officer of Exit Games.

“It was natural that we added Android support as the platform gains steam in the global mobile markets and recognition by developers and publishers as a convenient way to reach a continuously growing user base.”

Neutron supports online browser-based gaming on personal computers, mobile devices and games consoles.
