The Dutch gambling regulator has reported that the number of reports of possible match-fixing filed by online operators more than doubled in 2024.

Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) said that after six reports were filed in 2023, 13 arose in 2024.
Signals such as unusual betting patterns or changes in odds prompted the reports.
The reports came from eight licence holders, the KSA said.
“Possible explanations are efforts by the KSA to create more awareness of the reporting obligation among licensed providers or a global increase in reports of match fixing,” the regulator added.
The KSA noted it sent four warnings after some of the signals warranting further investigation.
The KSA’s Sports Betting Intelligence Unit, which monitors match-fixing, outlined an 85 per cent decline in reports of possible match-fixing in 2023, down from 40 to six.
“The KSA will make even more efforts to point out to licensed providers their legal obligation to inform the KSA without delay of indications that point to an increased risk of manipulation of an involved match,’ it said in its latest update.
“Guidance for the market in the form of a guideline will follow shortly. In addition, the KSA will continue to monitor the signals.”
