DraftKings is set to join Caesars Entertainment and BetMGM in expanding its sportsbook to Washington DC pending licensure and regulatory approvals.

A market access agreement with football team D.C. United will allow the operator to offer its services in the District of Columbia.
Washington DC is the home of several professional sports teams including in basketball, baseball and ice hockey, with DraftKings players soon able to bet on markets such as same-game parlays and in-play markets.
“With the DC Council’s recent decision to expand the world of sports betting in DC, we look forward to working with DraftKings to introduce their online sportsbook as another way for DC residents to bet in the city,” said Danita Johnson, president of business operations for DC United.
Matt Kalish, DraftKings’ president, North America, said: “Together with DC United, we look forward to delivering fans a best-in-class experience through our customer-friendly product.”
Washington DC will become the 29th jurisdiction in North America where DraftKings’ sportsbook is live.
