Online bookmaker FavBet is extending its reach in Europe with the launch of affiliate branches in Croatia and Romania that will be supplied by software provider Betinvest.

Betinvest

Initially, in Croatia, FavBet acquired local sportsbook Favorit.hr, which has online and land-based operations, with 95 betting shops throughout the country.

Full rebranding commences in February, with the launch of the new website FavBet.hr to redirect punters from Favorit.hr to follow.

According to Betinvest, the plan is to replace outdated Favorit software with a brand new digital platform, across betting retail software and online.

FavBet.hr CEO Sergey Ivanov said: “BetInvest gives us a boost with a top-class product - more live events, many more markets per event and lots of unique markets on the proprietary platform.”

With regard to the overhaul of the Croatian business, Ivanov added: “We aim to offer many more products to our customers; moving them from the traditional retail realm - with printed scores and stats on the walls - into the digital world with computers, terminals and lots of new virtual products.”

In Romania, which has a more mature sports betting sector than Croatia, Betinvest will deploy the white-label solution for FavBet.rom while FavBet also plans to open 30 new betting shops in the country.
