Sports betting revenue in Colorado, US, rose 28.3 per cent year-on-year in August to US$33.2m.

The latest revenue, revealed by the Colorado Division of Gaming, came from wagering handle of $372.4m, rising 21.7 per cent over the same period, from $306.1m.
Of that handle, only $699,432 was made in retail sportsbooks, with the rest online bets.
Sports betting taxes in Colorado in August were $2.4m, up 31.5 per cent year-on-year.
Month-on-month, handle rose 16.2 per cent from $320.4m, while revenue rose two per cent from $32.5m.
Sports betting taxes were stable, rising 0.2 per cent from $2.37m in July 2024.
Baseball was the most popular sport for betting in Colorado in August, attracting wagers of $103.2m ahead of tennis’ $39.3m.
