Sports betting handle in Colorado in April totalled US$509.5m, a rise of 21.95 per cent year-on-year.

Month-on-month, however, the US state’s Division of Gaming said the figure translated to a 14.1 per cent decrease month-on-month.
Total gross gaming revenue of $32m showed a drop of 8.9 per cent from April 2023’s $35.1m.
Total taxes in the state, the regulator said, declined in both comparison periods.
The collection of $1.9m was down by 33 per cent on March’s $2.9m and dropped by 26 per cent from April 2023’s $2.6m.
Nevertheless, wagers in the year to date, including April’s figures, are up 16.4 per cent year-on-year at $5.2m.
