Cherry Malta, a subsidiary of Swedish gaming company Cherry AB, has invested in the Malta-based Yggdrasil Gaming.
Yggdrasil Gaming has developed a range instant RNG lottery games, under its NUMB3R L0V3RS concept, ready to licence to regulated online lottery operators. Cherry is the first licensee of the catalogue.
“As a financial investor, we also hope that our investment will generate good returns for our shareholders,” said Emil Sunvisson, Cherry CEO.
Fredrik Elmqvist, founder and CEO at Yggdrasil Gaming, added: “Developing a successful online lottery strategy remains the final frontier for both i-gaming and national lottery operators alike.
“With a readymade suite of RNG lottery games, we don’t get hung up with long roadmaps for development or integration.”
Elmqvist, former CEO of Net Entertainment Malta, operates Yggdrasil with a team of employees with extensive backgrounds in both the online casino and state-regulated lotteries.
