Gambling revenues have stabilised across Europe following the upheavals of the pandemic, while mobile gambling and regulatory issues will continue to dominate industry discussions in the Old Continent – Jake Pollard investigates.

Operators’ gambling revenues broadly stabilised across European markets in 2022 following the previous two years, which of course were hugely disrupted by the Covid pandemic, lockdowns and – for sports betting in particular – a complete stop to all sporting events during part of 2020.
Figures from H2 Gambling Capital show that Europe’s gambling markets generated gross gaming revenue of €108.5bn in 2022, a 23 per cent rise compared to 2021.
