Casbit group has received a penalty from the Dutch Gambling Authority for offering illegal games of chance via the lala.bet website.

A permit is required to offer games of chance in the Netherlands.
Kansspelautoriteit had warned Casbit Group that it intended to impose an order and in response, the provider said it would make the website inaccessible to players within the Netherlands. When this turned out not to be the case, the penalty was imposed.
Casbit Group has now received an order from Kansspelautoriteit to stop the offer with immediate effect, or incur a penalty of €280,000 per week to a maximum of €840,000.
“Strict rules and regulations apply to offering games of chance with a permit,” the KSA said. “These are aimed at providing a safe legal offer, where players are assured of fair play and are protected against gambling addiction.
“Offering illegal games of chance undermines that system and the safety of the player and the KSA therefore strictly enforces this.”
