UK department of media, culture and sport has officially recognised that the online casino industry in Antigua and Barbuda is sufficiently regulated and safe, and has approved its application for white listing.
The British Minister of Sport said in a statement that he was content that Antigua and Barbuda has the legal authority to regulate gambling and that its current system of regulation and licensing provides a robust and adequately resourced framework to uphold shared objectives: to prevent gambling from becoming a source of crime; and to keep gambling fair and open and to protect children and vulnerable people. According to the government, the sites will be allowed to advertise in the UK from November 20, 2008.
