The competition is an exciting addition to the investment track of the world’s largest dedicated sports betting trade show, which takes place at Meadowlands Exposition Center, New Jersey on April 28-30.

One of the most striking features of the growth in the US sports betting market over the past 12 months has been the proliferation of new businesses launching cutting edge products and services for it.

The team behind BOSA has now moved to reflect the rising importance of these start-ups to the industry by providing a forum for them to gain valuable exposure in the new pitch competition.

It is backed by the formidable alliance of SeventySix Capital, SGIF and Stadia Ventures, who together provide unrivalled expertise in the fields of venture capital, consulting, operations and sports betting, making them the ideal team to spot great investment opportunities.

Sue Schneider, VP, growth and strategy, Americas for SBC, said: “We have a group of exceptional partners, who were all eager to be involved in BOSA, so we are confident this will be the premier pitch competition for the sports betting industry in the US. There is already a great deal of buzz around this and I can’t wait to see all the submissions we get.”

Wayne Kimmel, managing partner of SeventySix Capital, said: “Sports betting is one of our key investment sectors and as more and more states go live, it is one of our largest and fastest moving. We are thrilled to participate in the inaugural launch of BOSA’s pitch competition and continue supporting top entrepreneurs in the sports betting industry.”
