Lifted by bank holiday weekends and Easter, Italy’s four casinos each saw revenue grow in April.

Casino di Sanremo leads the field in terms of rate of growth, with a 17 per cent year-on-year leap in revenue to €4.01m. In the first four months of 2017 Sanremo collected revenue of €15,422,324, a 2.77 per cent increase on the equivalent period in 2016.
Win at Casino Campione d’Italia topped €8.4m in April, up 6.24 per cent year on year. In the first third of the year, Casino Campione collected €32.15m, 6.55 per cent more than in the first four months of 2016.
The Saint Vincent Resort and Casino returned to growth in April, with revenue increasing by 2.76 per cent to €5.26m. For the year to date, the venue collected €19.4m to the end of April, a fall of 14.24 per cent, year on year.
Casino di Venezia saw April revenues edge up by 1.19 per cent, to €9.07m, while the YTD figure of €31.65m represented a 7.54 per cent drop against the same period in 2016.
