Autodesk has won a Develop 2009 Industry Excellence Award for its leading games development software.
The Develop awards, now in their seventh year, are designed to recognise and reward the best creative, technical and business minds in the UK and European games development. Autodesk took top prize in the Technology and Services category for Best Tools Provider.
The Develop awards are the only peer-voted awards for game developers throughout Europe. This year, around 80 of the world’s key game industry developers voted for the nominated games and companies they felt were deserving of recognition for their efforts over the last year.
“Autodesk’s acquisition of Kynogon last year signalled a strategic move into the middleware market,” said Pete Baxter, Autodesk’s senior director, northern Europe.
