Live casino specialist Authentic Gaming has partnered with the François-Blanc-Spielbank (Bad Homburg Casino) in Germany to live stream roulette games from its historic casino floor to online players.

The feed will be made available to Authentic’s network of licensed operators in regulated European markets only from Q1 2019, marking the first time a live casino provider has been able to stream live from the floor of a bricks-and-mortar casino in Germany.

The Bad Homburg Casino was established in 1841 by François Blanc and is steeped in history.

Known as the Magician of Monte Carlo, Blanc was a founding member of Société des Bains de Mer and was responsible for purchasing the Monte Carlo Casino and turning it into one of the finest gambling establishments in the world.

But the story behind the success of Monte Carlo began years before in 1841, when the entrepreneurial Blanc brothers were embarking on their biggest venture yet, the Bad Homburg Casino.

The Blancs needed more than just the exquisite spa town of Bad Homburg to entice the rich and famous to their new casino. To do this, Blanc reimagined the traditional roulette format, removing the double zero and inventing the single zero roulette.

Authentic Gaming allows land-based operators to live stream roulette games from tables located on their gaming floors to an unlimited number of online players via its network of B2B partners, including Mr Green, Unibet and LeoVegas.

The footage is captured on discreet high definition cameras located above the wheel and around the table, with powerful yet subtle microphones picking up the sound.

Jonas Delin, CEO of Authentic Gaming, said: “As a live casino supplier devoted to creating the best online player experience for live roulette, streaming from the birthplace of roulette as we know it today is a major coup for us.

“Bad Homburg Casino is stunning and we are truly thrilled to bring this famous gaming destination online and to the masses.

“This is another industry first delivered by Authentic Gaming. We are the first and only company to stream live games from Germany, and we have achieved similar firsts in Denmark and the USA.”
