Montreal, Canada-based Amaya, owner of the market-leading PokerStars brand, is to hire William Hill’s mergers-and-acquisition specialist Robin Chhabra, reports The Sunday Times.

The report states that Canadian gambling giant has been in talks to hire Chhabra from William Hill, where he is group director of strategy and corporate development, with an appointment possible later this year.
The move backs claims that Amaya is seeking to boost its M&A activities, notably in the UK.
